Warmer temperatures today in Valnontey. Ice is generally suffering the temperature rise on the sunny side of the valley. Gran Val, Sentiero dei Troll, Valmiana, Thoule, Di fronte al tradimento and Erfaulet are not recommended at this time.
On the contrary on the shady side conditions are still correct. Patry, Acheronte, Monday Money are still in good conditions. Ingegneria has been climbed also and new belays have been put by local mountain guides.
Today we climbed Ago di Money: L1 is mixed climbing with solid axe anchors but little delicate feet moves on the first half of the pitch. You can protect the entire climb with 2 pitons in place, few cams (0.75, 2,3, and one alien green), and few ice screws. L2 is perfect conditions still. L3 the structure today was still solid but very thin and little protectable. L4 top conditions still. New belays on the route.
Hidden ice: still decent conditions on the head wall.
BEWARE: wind packed snow is still threatening on some couloirs and above certain ice falls.
